Pinocchio Book

This is a limited edition book of the story of Pinocchio. The book is original, except for the story, and designed and built from scratch. The typography within the pages of the book are an original design as well. The materials to build the book were gathered from different sources around the San Luis Obispo area. Pinocchio is an Italian story and so I wanted to give the book an Italian feel. The red cloth used is an Italian Red and the gold end papers are Italian made as well. It won a Bookbuilders West scholarship which included a cash prize and a trip to San Francisco to receive it. The contest was among universities in the Western United States with a total of five awards given out. Book size is 4.5" x 6".
